Welcome to Troop 709
Merritt Island, Florida, Canaveral
District.
Established in 1991, Troop 709 is a "boy led" troop and is chartered
by Faith Lutheran Church of Merritt Island. We are widely
known for our monthly campouts and incredible pioneering projects
as well as our community service projects.
Our
troop meetings are held every Tuesday evening from 7:09
to 8:30 p.m. at
Faith Lutheran Church of Merritt Island.
Committee meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month
at the same location as the troop meetings. All scout
parents are welcome and encouraged to participate. Our
monthly camping trips are usually scheduled on the third
weekend of the month. In addition to our monthly camping
trips, Troop 709 also attends a week of summer camp somewhere
between June and July.
