For this campout we will re-visit the scene of the great Klondike Sled Race, where Troop 377 crushed the opposing teams, both wheeled and non-wheeled. We will be camping at Spring Mill State Park in the youth tent camping area.
It should be nice and cold! Make sure you dress in layers and bring extra socks. Hopefully, there will be snow on the ground so we can see how "The Pink Panther" really performs!
That Friday is a half school day. Therefore, we plan on leaving the church parking lot at 2:00pm. That will give us plenty of time to set up the "White House" allowing us to maintain a degree of comfort hitherto unkown to us on previous winter campouts. Saturday should see us returning to the church around 4:00pm.
We will be camping at Camp Sassafras, near Linton, IN. We will leave the church at 5:00pm, so be there to help load the trailer no later than 4:45pm. On Saturday we will join the OA service project at the camp - make sure you bring gloves and work clothes. When the work is done at 4:00pm we'll leave for home. Should get back around 5:15pm.
This will be the district Spring Camp-o-ree. Location is Camp Sassafras, near Linton, IN. Typical leaving and returning times apply: Friday leave at 5:00pm - Saturday return LATE, probably around 10:00pm.
The main event for this camp-o-ree will be shooting sports. Eight different kinds of shooting will be offered! Sounds pretty cool. You like to shoot stuff, don't you?!
