  • The troop should be on their way back. The current information that I have is that they will leave Ronald Reagan Airport at 6:35 pm on the 3rd of August and arrive in Atlanta at 8:35 pm. Then they will have to move quick to make their flight leaving at 9:05 pm with a scheduled return to Wichita at 10:35 pm on the 3rd of August.
  • As soon as I know the schedule to pick up stuff from the truck I'll post it.
  • If anyone has pictures, send them to me at wm1319@gmail.com and I'll try to post them here.

  • We've had several confirmations that the troop is at Jamboree and is doing fine.
  • I've had some suggestions that we as the troop parents try to do something for the families of those who lost their lives in the accident Monday. If you have some suggestions or would like to head this up, let me know and I'll try to spread the info around. A good starting point is the Western Alaska Council's website at http://www.bsawac.org/. They've got email and snail mail addresses there to send condolences to. If someone's good with words and would like to send condolences via email from the troop, send it to me and I'll send it on from the web account for the troop.
  • I've added a number of people to the email list thanks to some I've notes received.
  • Some good informational links:
  • If anyone gets news or pictures from the troop, send them to me and I'll get them posted on the website.
  • I've corrected a couple of email links on the website. They had hotmail instead of gmail. The correct email address for the webmaster is wm1319@gmail.com.

  • Good news and bad news. Supposedly the totes are on the way but not here yet. The tents is a different story. I think I tried to forward the email about working Coleman's sale to everyone I had an address for. Since the sale is after the scheduled campout and we won't have any gear by the campout, Bob Good, the other scoutmaster, and myself decided to cancel the coming campout. It seems to us it would be very hard to have a training campout when most of the equipment we want to use for the training is not available. I will follow this with a letter but I wanted to give those I could, as much warning as I could.
